Review
Sara I. (Nov 15, 2021):
“This restaurant really brought in the heat. I thought I could handle any spice level until I met Thai Orchid on a random Sunday night. The best items on the menu are definitely the Laotian and Cambodian-influenced dishes. The Som Tum is the total winner—super crisp, sour, and spicy. I honestly couldn’t handle the heat at first, but after a moment to catch my breath, I inhaled most of it. The Thai iced coffee was the saving grace.
The Tom Yum had plenty of depth and zest, packed with fresh tomatoes, shrimp, and mushrooms, and can be made vegetarian. I loved their Laad Nah—dark gravy, broccoli, onions, and chicken, savory and slightly sweet, and a great balance to the spicy dishes.
The menu is huge, the food is fresh, and the owners are friendly. Decor is simple, but the flavors shine. If you’re in North Houston or passing through Spring, I recommend stopping by. Support local biz!”
