“Roll with the tides! Taizzi Sushi in Katy isn't too far from the local mall. Decided to stop by on a whim with a good friend for dinner. I thought the food here was pretty decent. They've got quite a large selection of grub to choose from the menu. I spotted Korean style ramen, bibimbap, and even poke bowls on the menu. This spot is known for their AYCE selection or just wing it a la carte.

Settled in for sushi because that's what this place is known for. First of all, the plaza is tiny and the restaurant is cramped as well. Surprisingly though on a Saturday night, we found decent parking and it wasn't too busy inside—most likely due to the holidays.

Service was impeccable. Since it’s a small space, the servers continuously checked up on us. One of them even offered me a fork since I'm not the biggest fan of using chopsticks. Lol.

My favorite item was the baked sushi. I've always been a fan of baked sushi and they've got a decent selection. The baked salmon sushi we ordered was tender and flavorful. Definitely want to try the baked lobster option next time. Runner up was the peppered tuna sashimi and the Pink Lady sushi—both had a bite and a kick to them.

The jasmine tea wasn't that good though; flat and lukewarm. The interior is dark and cozy, good for a dinner vibe. They've got a TV inside blasting Korean music to keep you awake with all the glutinous rice intake. Wouldn’t mind revisiting when around the area—especially after shopping and settling in for cozy starch bombs. That's what sushi is after all, am I right? Lol. Keep it local & prosper! Until next time. :)”
