Review

Sara I. (Apr 28, 2021):

“Absolutely amazing tacos in this hole-in-the-wall joint. Zesty food made by zesty and kind folk. Some of their food took me back to the Yucatán peninsula. The comida takes time to get to the table, but it’s worth it. Tons of to-go orders and tables scattered around the spot, yet the staff are big on courtesy and cleanliness.

There are about six fresh, in-house-made salsas to enjoy, and the aguas frescas are made with real fruit and pulp—sweet, cold, and perfect with savory food. I truly recommend the grande avocado quesadilla and the crispy tostada. Heck, the tacos are great too.

The menu is flexible and accommodating for any palate. Plenty of vegetarian items, and the beans and tortillas are vegetarian (no lard). Bonus points! Looking forward to revisiting and trying the nopal and soup. Glad to have a warm spot like Doña Lena in the neighborhood.”
