The ROYCE’ Chocolate tasting event in Chinatown offered a creamy, dreamy escape into the world of premium Japanese confections. Known for its ultra-smooth textures and high-quality ingredients sourced from northern Japan, ROYCE’ brings the spirit of Hokkaido’s celebrated dairy culture straight into Houston — and this event showcased the very best of it.

Guests enjoyed samples of the brand’s famous nama chocolates, each piece velvety, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth soft. Matcha nama chocolate stole the spotlight—earthy, bittersweet, and beautifully balanced with the creaminess that ROYCE’ is known for. Pistachio-studded varieties and other flavor infusions added to the international flair and indulgence.

“Such creamy, dreamy and ultra decadent chocolates at ROYCE chocolatiers! This spot is awesome and has such an international vibe because of the ingredients they showcase within their chocolates. Pistachios and so many other variations within their chocolate! I love it and purchased the pistachio variation.

ROYCE originates from northern Japan... from an area known for its dairy products. I have always loved products originating from Hokkaido, such as their milk breads and cheese tarts + many other items. These chocolates are of no other exception... so milky and creamy with every bite you take... especially their famous ‘nama’ chocolates which were provided as samples for this event. My favorite being their matcha nama chocolate sample. Soo good. Love anything with matcha! You could taste the quality of the fine tea leaves meshed with the creaminess of the cacao beans.

Service was good, prompt and attentive. Just stayed for a bit as I was headed to an appointment somewhere else. Everything was appreciated though in regards to chocolate samples and answering all of my questions.
