Their made-to-order beignets arrive warm and dusted, offering a soft, simple sweetness—pleasant, though not unforgettable. The café itself is cozy with modest seating, including sofas and smaller tables. The drive-thru is a major perk, especially for commuters or anyone in a rush. Coffee remains aromatic and satisfying, making PJ’s a solid choice for flavorful drinks outside the mainstream coffee chain circuit.

However, the biggest drawback is the ventilation. A lingering old-oil aroma and the presence of house flies can break the cozy spell and affect the overall experience. Still, with better airflow and upkeep, this location could easily elevate its charm.

“I like this little spot! I really do. My biggest gripe is the air ventilation and all the house flies swarming around the cafe. It literally smells like old oil in here and the ventilation is not the best. But let's get to the good stuff.. shall we?

PJs offers some unique coffee drinks and treats. There are far too few locations within the greater Houston area so it's nice to visit this particular location from time to time. I've visited another location in the past which was in another state.

They've got some great iced drinks here such as their lattes, mocha and seasonal drinks. The seasonal king cake is good here as well as their beignets. The beignets are fresh & made to order. They are decent.. nothing home to write about. The case near the register is stocked up on cookies, muffins and scones etc.

Seating is decent as well. They've got a few chairs and sofas to lounge upon.. not the biggest spot though. The drive thru will get ya in and out in a jiffy.. good for when you're in a rush. This spot is far from me so I doubt I'll be visiting anytime soon.. hoping they can open up more locations. Other than that it's a warm spot with some aromatic coffee.”
