The Milk+Sugar ice cream event in West University offered a cheerful, cozy, and delicious escape on a warm summer night. This newer location of Milk+Sugar is spacious, bright, and sparkling clean—an upgrade in size and atmosphere while still capturing all the whimsical charm of the original shop. With a large shared parking lot and easy access, it made the perfect stop for an effortless evening treat.
Milk+Sugar is beloved for its dreamy, thoughtfully crafted flavors—playfully named and even more delightful to taste. The shop’s team happily offered samples, making the visit feel both fun and personal. While certain limited-time flavors can rotate out quickly (pandan lovers, we feel you!), the classics remain as creamy, smooth, and nostalgic as ever. The event included a waffle cone, making that first crisp crunch especially satisfying on a humid night.
Event Highlights:
Spacious, bright new location
Smooth, delicious flavors with whimsical names (Heart of Glass forever!)
Generous sampling & friendly staff
Complimentary waffle cone treat
Perfect cool-down dessert on a warm Houston evening

“Mmm mmm milk + sugar! I think most of us are familiar with this adorable ice cream shoppe? I know that I am. But this new location in specific is a lot larger, brighter and cleaner than their original location. I still like their OG shoppe.. but this one? Absolutely ideal with location (geographically) as well as their huge parking lot that they share with several other store fronts.
I have always loved the flavors @ milk + sugar. They are dreamy as well as the namesake of each flavor. Heart of Glass? So cute. Still a favorite flavor for moi and @ this location, it tasted just the same. The kids slingin' the ice cream allowed us to sample a few. I was already familiar with most of their flavors so just opted for my favs. Sweet n' delectable, smooth ice cream. I was really hoping to try their pandan flavor for the month of HAPI, but alas, it wasn't available on a Saturday night. I've had pandan ice cream elsewhere, so I'm hoping to catch this one here next time around.
It was a generous sweet treat that included a waffle cone. Cold dessert on a humid night. Crunch. Munch. Yum.
It was perf' in every way. Until next time!”
