Golden Dumpling House is the definition of a hidden gem—small, unassuming, and deeply rooted in the craft of traditional dumpling-making. Their offerings lean classic and comforting: thick, chewy wrappers, generously packed fillings, and that signature burst of steam when you bite in. While dine-in may be limited, their to-go dumplings travel well and arrive piping hot, making this an easy go-to for a cozy night in.
Beyond dumplings, you’ll find crisp scallion pancakes, simple sauces, and a menu of home-style dishes that reflect a no-frills, flavor-first approach. Cash-only, but worth every penny.
Must-Try Items
Steamed Chicken Dumplings – tender filling wrapped in chewy, old-world–style dough
Pan-Fried Beef Dumplings – crisp bottoms, juicy interior, deeply savory
Scallion Pancakes – house-made, crispy, and far superior to frozen versions
Black Vinegar Dumpling Sauce – the best complement to the hearty fillings

Sara I. (Apr 29, 2021):
“Golden Dumpling House seems to serve up some rather mean—actually, cute and authentic—dumplings. They’re doughy, chewy, and filled to the brim. Inside each dumpling is a hefty meatball-like center brimming with flavor. The texture is very old world, and they are super boiling hot when you nosh on them. Fresh at its best.
My favorites are the steamed chicken dumplings and the pan-fried beef dumplings—sealed with flavor and great texture. The chili sauce has way too much oil and not enough heat, but the black vinegar sauce is solid. I do wish they offered a plain shrimp and chive dumpling since not everyone eats pork; seafood dumplings would be a great addition.
The scallion pancakes are crispy and clearly house-made—nothing like the flat freezer versions you find elsewhere. Orders take about 20–25 minutes to prepare, so call ahead, and make sure to order by 7:30 pm if you’re picking up in the evening. Service was chill and prompt. Cash only.
They’ve got plenty on the menu besides dumplings, and I’ll definitely revisit to try more. Support local mom-and-pop shops—these folks put soul into their craft.”
