The Atmosphere

This Meyerland location is smaller than former Sugar Land and Rice Village spots. Seating is tighter, with booths that offer limited leg room.

It is a casual stop while wandering through the surrounding stores and outlets. The plaza itself is lively and convenient, making it easy to pop in for a quick dessert break.

Pomegranate Yogurt with Fresh Fruit

I have always loved Berripop for its crisp and tart yogurt flavors. I prefer that bright tang over the overly sweet style found at other chains.

The yogurt itself was still enjoyable, even on a rather cold day. However, the fruit bar was disappointing during this visit. The “fresh fruit” looked unappealing and somewhat dried out.

Fortunately, the employee behind the counter had a fresh container of strawberries and brought them out after I mentioned it. Had I not said anything, I would have likely received fruit from the older batch.

The yogurt remained crisp and satisfying, but freshness at the topping bar is clearly something this location needs to maintain more carefully.

Overall Impression

Berripop has always been a favorite for its tart and refreshing yogurt flavors. While this Meyerland location keeps the brand alive, the quality of the topping bar may vary.

If they improve the freshness of the fruit, it would elevate the experience significantly. For now, it is a decent stop when craving tangy frozen yogurt, but perhaps not a destination worthy of a special trip.

“I'm usually never in the Meyerland area... but by chance I had made a visit to the shopping plaza. Their are many stores and outlets to wander around and about. I was thrilled when I noticed a Berripop in the vicinity. My two favorite locations (Sugar Land & Rice Village) no longer exist. It was a big deal for me when the stores closed.. simply because I always enjoyed and craved their fresh and tart yogurt. I'm more into tart yogurt rather than sickly sweet yogurt (ie: Menchies & Swirll).This existing location is much smaller with tight seating booths and little to no leg room. I made an order for the pomegranate yogurt with fruit on top. What I almost always liked about Berripop was the endless and fresh amount of fruits to choose from. I'm not the type of person who likes to stack candy on my yogurt. Unfortunately the "fresh fruit" was unappealing and looked rather dried out. Who knows how many hours or even days it had been sitting out. The worker behind the yogurt bar happened to have another container of fresh strawberries which he took out for me. Had I not mentioned anything.. he would have given me the old batch of rotten looking strawberries. Eh. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed my crisp yogurt on a rather cold day. I just don't know if this particular location is worth the visit a second time around. If only they can work on bringing fresh items to the bar. Oh Berripop.. you were my one stop shop for yogurt. But too bad most of your locations have shut down.”
