The 1st Anniversary celebration at The Kebab Shop brought together good food, community, and a flexible, come-when-you-can format that made it perfect for busy parents and weekday adventurers. With the freedom to attend any day and time, it was an easy midweek outing—especially for those juggling tight schedules, little ones, and the Houston heat.

Freshly made dishes took center stage: hot and crispy fries, juicy kebabs, fluffy bread, and saffron rice rich with aroma and color. The sauces were a standout—jalapeño cilantro and garlicky yogurt, both vibrant and flavorful. Paired with iced tea, the meal made for a refreshing late-August visit.

The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, ideal for bringing friends along or enjoying a casual meal with family. The plaza’s surrounding boutiques and the neighboring Whole Foods added convenience and charm to the outing. With friendly staff and a warm community vibe, The Kebab Shop made its anniversary feel like a neighborhood celebration worth returning to.

“Such a great Elite Week perk!

I LOVE…

Why?

Because I can bring my bébé with me, and we can visit any day and any time of the week. I can also have a friend join, as long as they take care of their own accommodations. Elite weeks are quite flexible with the demands of my busy maman schedule. Cheers for visiting before nap time!

I missed out on this perk that took place 1 year ago, when The Kebab Shop had recently opened. This place is great! Good food and overall good service. Everything was fresh to order and tantalizing to the tastebuds. French fries were hot n crispy as well, kebab was juicy and bread was fluffy. The saffron rice was full of saffron (in a good way) and the jalapeño cilantro sauce and garlicky yogurt sauce were on point. Bébé and I enjoyed. This made for a nice hangout in the middle of the week with fellow friends. Last bit of August in this heat made us cool down with some iced tea as well. Thank you Jay, for joining me on this local adventure. I'll definitely revisit this location in the near future. TKS is in a diverse plaza with a clothing boutique and Whole Foods. Can't go wrong with that.
