 “The fresh date shake here was marvelous.. thick in viscosity, creamy and out of this world. The aroma reminded me of brown sugar and the flavor was warm, even though it was a cold and creamy milkshake. They use fresh dates that are commonly grown near and around the palm springs area.

We didn't get to venture too deep within Palm Springs, but this was the closest market to us when we were venturing out of Joshua Tree. Folks were friendly and efficient with their service. We opted for the vanilla ice cream date shake, which is the original flavor here. The dates just melt in your mouth and are totally otherworldly, along with the fresh packaged dates that you can purchase here. They make for a great gift as well, and there are plenty of different flavors — my favorite being the dates rolled in dessicated coconut.

All in all, this is a pretty neat spot. I'd love to revisit and try their savory foods and other items as well.

Geographically, it's super cool to be surrounded by windmills nearby, literally and figuratively. When around and passing through the Yucca Valley, you can count on Windmill Market & Produce for a great beverage and perhaps a snack or two while cruising through your road trip. :) Until next time!”
