[PERMANENTLY CLOSED - Store No Longer Operating]
Soju Bar brings the energy of a late-night Korean drinking den—bold flavors, hearty portions, and a casual, dimly lit atmosphere fit for hanging out after hours. While the food itself has its highlights, the experience is heavily weighed down by inconsistent service, long waits, and occasional mix-ups. With its compact layout and lively vibe, the spot has potential, but it needs stronger attention to hospitality to match its generous portion sizes.
What to Expect
Large portions, even if the prices skew high
Solid Korean comfort dishes, especially fried items and banchan
A cramped, busy, late-night atmosphere
Service delays and order errors
Noteworthy Items
Soft Tofu Soup (verify ingredients if you avoid pork)
Seafood Pancake
Kimchi & Banchan Selection
Fried Appetizers (crispy and dependable)
Review
Sara I. (Nov 2, 2021): “Service is completely non-existent at this late-night spot. It’s a Korean-style bar/restaurant serving decent food with large portions and equally large prices, but the service is sorely disappointing. You won’t get a menu upon seating—you’ll wait several minutes until someone feels free to hand it over. Food comes out late, and everything arrives at the same time, even appetizers.
I ordered the soft tofu soup, which is typically vegetarian unless you ask for meat. Mine came with pork—a complete disaster since remaking it would take forever—so I swapped meals with my friend. Fried appetizers were crisp and fresh, and the banchan here is always tasty with some unique offerings. Their kimchi is spicy and pungent, perfect with a stew when they get it right. I’ve enjoyed their seafood pancake in the past, too. This place has potential, but they really need to pay more attention to customers. It’s small, cramped, and clearly understaffed. Hiring another waiter would go a long way. Unique little bar overall, but doubtful I’ll be back anytime soon.”
