“Happy buzz' day! What a funtastic event at the Children's Museum of all places! Last year’s gathering was at the Health Museum, and these museum-style celebrations are always interactive and fun for everyone.

The food vendors were warm and welcoming. I was able to try most of the offerings thanks to arriving at just the right time. Both cakes provided by El Bolillo Bakery were fresh and tasty. It's hard to find a good tres leches cake.. even within Houston. & They nailed it! The owner and manager were humble and friendly; we spoke of all things postres. There was a large variety of desserts at this event—from gelato to cookies and bundt cakes—each created by local businesses. My sweet tooth was brimming with joy.

The music was jamming! I lost my mind when I heard George Michael! Woosh. It was lovely reconnecting with friends. It felt like one big reunion, with plenty of new faces too. As someone semi retired from writing about events, I’ve really seen the community grow immensely. Making local friends is one of the best parts of attending gatherings like this.

Thank you to the organizers for connecting me with genuine folk. After a decade of attending events like these, it’s heartwarming to see how things evolve. Fifteen years later… and we can pretty much check in to any part of the world. Does anyone remember the days where we mostly wrote our reviews through a computer? Haha. I might be semi retired, but I'm not jaded. Thanks to those who keep it real. This is how you burst day. Until next time!”
