Sara's full firsthand review
I've had The Sweet Boutiques cake-pops and macaroons, which I have both enjoyed. My sister brought home the rose flavoured and kiwi macaroons, which were both pleasant. The rose flavour was my favourite, because it had an exotic and sweet aroma to it. Growing up, my mother used rose essence in most desserts, so I found the flavour of this macaroon quite nostalgic. The macaroons were crispy and fragile with a generous amount of filling within the center. They were traditional and unique in their own way. I recently tried a cupcake at TSB, but I found the cupcake to be of average taste. The cupcake was of a creme brulee flavour with a center of cream inside the cake. The cake itself was dry, and the frosting tasted like a stick of butter. I did appreciate how the frosting wasn't overly sweet. Other than that, the cupcake was of standard size, and of average quality. My little cousin ate a red velvet cupcake, and thought it was decent. I think i'll stick to the macaroons offered at TSB, there are many flavours and colours to choose from. They would also make as good gifts and party favors if hosting an event. Give 'em a try!
