The Afghan Village review

The food isn't as great as what all the people rave about here.. I have had better Afghan food at other restaurants. The rice was far too soft and the spinach I ordered was watery and tasteless. The mantoo (think of ravioli) didn't have any meat on top and was flat and unappealing. Mantoo doesn't have to have meat on top, but most restaurants I have been to almost always serve a flavorful meat and lentil topping. An item on the menu I desired to try had ran out. The service was slow and inattentive. The servers never checked up on us and had messed up my order. They were kind enough to offer me two dishes on the house which were just okay tasting. We had waited for ages to get our bill and to-go containers. Their was only one to-go container that was given to a group of us. Eh? Just okay. Nothing remarkable or anything that stood out.
