Sara's full firsthand review
I really should have tried the Pakistani food when I came here.. The cuisine seems to be quite popular among the customers. I dont live in the area where the cafe resides.. but I wanted to have a nice and filling meal before checking out the mall in that part of town. Upon entering around lunch time.. the restaurant was bustling with people dining in. I couldn't decide what I wanted to order, so I went ahead with the chicken shawarma. My sister ordered the chicken kebab wrap with paratha bread. It took quite some time for our meal to arrive to our table. My chicken shawarma was seasoned with Indo-Pak seasonings. The tahini sauce inside the wrap was thin and watery. Most of it leaked out of the other end of my wrap as I ate it. The french fries that came with my meal were cold. I dont eat french fries that often, so I barely ate them. I was looking forward to a Levantine style Chicken Shawarma.. but that is not what I got. I should have realized this in the beginning, due to the restaurant being of South Asian influence. Other than that.. my meal was still decent. It was healthier than the other options and not spicy. I ordered Pakistani style chai to end my meal.. and it was good. The steaming cup of chai was made with fresh milk. It was simple and not spiked with spices as Indian chai usually is. If I ever have a chance to come around this spot again, i'll definitely try the hardcore Pakistani dishes such as the Chicken Karahi or the Nihari. Customer service was great. The young lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. So was the other gentleman. Another great factor was that the restaurant was clean and simple. Nice place to drop by for lunch.
