Sara's full firsthand review
Tried out Fresh Boba this evening.. It's a small bubble tea shop located in the Kroger's shopping center near Kempner HS. It wasn't too busy when I stepped in. Their are many "cream tea's" to choose off the menu. Had a feeling that the cream tea's were made with the powdered stuff, so I changed my mind. I'd much rather visit a bubble tea shop that has milk as an option as opposed to the non-dairy powdered stuff. Anyhow, I changed my mind and ordered the grapefruit green tea with tapioca. Their are many flavored tea's to choose from, but I was in the mood for a citrusy flavor. Not that its any healthier, but at least it didn't have any powder in it. My order was made super quick. The drink was chilly, crisp and very sweet. I would have liked less crushed ice as they mixed into the tapioca pearls. The pearls themselves were nice and chewy but much sweeter in taste than other places. I used to be really big on these types of drinks when I was younger so it was definitely a hit of nostalgia for me. They also have stamp cards per each visit if you're into that type of thing. Overall, my drink was decent and if in the neighborhood i'll be back to try the other juice tea flavors.
