Cillie’s Cakes review

Cillie's cakes have always been lovely, but I have noticed they have become way too sweet as of recent. In the future, I would most likely pre-order a cake and have them cut down on the sugar. With the cakes being too sweet, the flavour becomes lacking. We've been having their cakes for years, but I just wasn't fond of the mini cakes up front. The cheesecake and the mousse cake are quite nice though. Not as sweet, but rich, smooth and creamy. Overall, I do like how their cakes are made with light ingredients. Rather than heavy buttercream frosting, most of the cakes here are light and made up of whipped cream. I also like how most of the cakes are moist and incorporated with fresh fruit. Its a nice cakery shoppe if you're looking for something different. They have spicy and salty snacks as well - such as their sandwiches and wraps. I have not tried them before but I may do so next time around. The location is convenient and the bake shoppe is located in a quiet corner. Will drop by soon and grab a few other items off their menu next time around. Always nice to support local business as well - give Cillie's a try!
