I had been wanting to try out Ruggles Green for awhile, since I heard rave reviews about their original spot in Houston. Its exciting that a location has opened up in the city of Sugar Land. We're pretty much complete with a variety of restaurants! I came in here a few days before Christmas with a good friend of mine. Upon entering, I noticed how elegantly displayed the restaurant was. I love the organic appeal of the restaurant. There is a tree placed within a corner and several paintings of nature and works of art all around. The layout of the restaurant is open and airy, with several seats being inside the restaurant, as well as outside the patio. I wasn't that hungry, considering all the food I had eaten during the holidays, so I opted for the vegetarian minestrone soup, as well the side of quinoa tabbouleh salad. My friend and I sat in the outdoor patio, it was a nice and quaint experience. Both of my meals were nourishing and flavourful. I do feel that the portion of the quinoa salad was a bit small. Other than that, I liked the flavour of the salad. It had a crisp and lemony taste. The minestrone was light and tasty which consisted of fresh vegetables. My friend ordered the veggie nut burger, and he enjoyed his meal. The burger was quite huge and looked filling. I will definitely try that next time around. Several other dishes on the menu sound amazing, and I know that will keep me coming back for more. Overall, I had a nice experience at Ruggles Green. As mentioned, im looking forward to future visits and trying out their other items. I cant say much about the dessert since I didnt try any, but im sure they are fresh and delicious as well. This is definitely a great place to bring friends and family. The menu consists of meat dishes, as well as many vegetarian dishes. Its nice to have a restaurant in town center that offers seasonal and locally sustained foods. That is always a plus.
